I-5 North Umpqua River Bridges

Project overview

Teamed with T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation of two existing 1,640 foot long I-5 bridges. ABHT was contracted by TYLI to perform a computer generated dynamic analysis for each bridge and to identify any seismic structural deficiencies for the bridge superstructures. In addition, ABHT developed various seismic retrofit strategies for each bridge and proceeded with a selected design of the most economical and efficient retrofit solution to be implemented for the bridge rehabilitation.
